DESCRIPTION:Attention Fireslammer Nation! \nThis new year of 2024 officially kicks off in Hoop City!  72 of the finest Athletes the universe has ever seen will once again be donning the world renowned Fireslammer Uniform for the first Special O Area Basketball tournament of 2024! \n\nThe tournament kicks off at 9am and should be done between 12-1pm.\nWe have 42 Athletes signed up for the Skills tournament (no running\, jumping\, or intense physical exertion for our lower key folks BUT still competing for golds!)\nWe have one Unified team and 2 Traditional teams for 5 vs 5 full court competition!\n\nWe need YOUR support to pack the stands\, bring the pandemonium\, and cheer our Athletes on as we go all the way this year!!  You know the drill-whether you’re in one of our homes\, at one of our campuses\, in one of our offices\, or anywhere else in the universe\, load up your crew in the van\, hitch a ride on the Fireslammers bus\, get an Uber\, jump on a horse or get a ride with whoever is going out to the west side-your hometown Fireslammers are hooping for gold… Holler with questions\, see you on the court!

DESCRIPTION:First observed in 2012\, Giving Tuesday (sometimes styled as #givingtuesday) is an internationally recognized day of giving back. Occurring on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving\, this holiday takes the spirit of giving thanks that we feel each year and puts it towards making a real difference in our community. The holiday has been recognized here in Arizona for that entire time\, where it is celebrated alongside Black Friday\, Cyber Monday\, and Small Business Saturday. \nThis year’s Giving Tuesday 2023 is on Tuesday\, November 28. \n\n\nYour contribution makes a world of a difference in the lives of our Members.\n\nA donation to The Opportunity Tree supports dynamic\, innovative\, & holistic programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the state of Arizona. In addition to supporting 250 Members day-to-day\, we connect over 1000 individuals with programs and services each year.
