Jacob’s Story

Jacob has been a part of our Avondale campus, starting in our Tree Fort youth program. Now, as he nears high school graduation, he’s eager to join our LEAF adult program and pursue employment through our SEEDS Employment Services. This summer, Jacob worked as a cashier in our Opportunity Exchange store, where he developed skills like money management and customer service. By donating to The Opportunity Tree, you provide Jacob and other young Members with personalized 1-on-1 employment training and support, empowering Jacob to gain confidence and achieve his dream job at Harkins Theatres.

Billy’s Story

Billy has been connected with The Opportunity Tree since the 90s, always radiating joy and positivity. While working many jobs over the years, he managed a demanding schedule and found happiness in dancing while working. Now, years later, Billy is a proud member of our Fireslammer Special Olympics team, where he continues to spread joy and engage with everyone around him. By donating to The Opportunity Tree, you help Billy and his Fireslammer teammates practice and enhance their sports skills as they prepare for tournaments.

Elizabeth’s Story

Elizabeth, a talented artist from our Casa Grande campus, brings color and creativity to our community. She’s participated in art workshops through a partnership with the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, developing her skills as a studio artist. Her pastel illustrations have transformed our campus, showcasing her vibrant imagination.
