To Our Friends, Members, and Community,

Today is Giving Tuesday, an internationally recognized day that invites us to imagine a world built on shared humanity and generosity.

For the past 60 years, The Opportunity Tree has lived this vision through our own mission to create dynamic & innovative environments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Arizona.  

Three generations of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have found a home in our community. Every day, high school students come to our daytime program sites for afterschool programming, adults come to our sites for Life Enrichment & Fulfillment programming, and older adults participate in our first-of-its-kind Supported Aging programs.

Some of our Members then go home to our 20 community-integrated Group Homes and independent supported living settings.

Our Members participate in our Employment First program. Our Employment program offers transformative employment services designed to cultivate the growth of job seekers with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their pathway for gainful employment in their community.

This organizational priority is deeply rooted in the belief that every person has the potential to flourish in a nurturing employment environment.  

Over 75 Members of all ages and abilities participate in year-round Special Olympics Sports on our Fireslammers team.  

Generous contributions from our community allow us to support our Members in attaining their dreams by offering more robust supports than our funding allows.
