Miguel’s Story

Miguel has been working tirelessly for two years to achieve his employment dreams, and has now joined the team at Jewel’s Café! ☕✨  Miguel’s enthusiasm and genuine desire to make a difference has made an immediate impression on the team as he cheerfully greets customers with a warm smile, assists with food and drink orders, and helps maintain the inviting atmosphere of the café.  Next up, Miguel will begin learning about “back of the house” duties including food prep and supply ordering.   Now that Miguel has secured his position, SEEDS staff will continue to check in with Miguel on-the-job, ensuring he has the tools and resources he needs to continuously succeed.

Isaiah’s Story

 sofware Isaiah has his sights set on joining the team at BestBuy, and we couldn’t be prouder of his determination and drive! 💻⚡ While he’s not there yet, he’s working hard to sharpen his skills, boost his confidence, and prepare for the day he lands his dream job.

Isaiah’s journey is about more than just getting a job — it’s about building independence, finding his place in the community, and proving that with the right support, anything is possible. And that’s where YOU come in!

This December, Jewel’s Bakery and Café invites you to join this December of giving, culminating in the beloved Annual Breakfast with Santa on December 21st. It’s a celebration of holiday magic, community, and the power of giving back.

In partnership with The Opportunity Tree, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering children, teens, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Arizona, this campaign supports the transformative SEEDS Employment Services program—helping individuals with IDD gain competitive, integrated employment and thrive in the community.

Through December, all donations from this page will directly support:

• On-the-Job supports: Individualized support for SEEDS Members in the workplace and on the clock!
• Real-World Job Training for job seekers: Refining resumes, practicing interviews, developing skills and interests!
• Continuous & Ongoing Support: Long term supports to ensure stability and adapt to changes.
• Advocacy and Networking: Opening doors to inclusive employers and building lasting connections.

The campaign culminates in the Annual Breakfast with Santa on December 21st, featuring:

• Santa Claus with complimentary photos for donors (pets welcome!).
• The Opportunity Tree’s Kiwanis aKtion Club Members, whose volunteer work and service projects create meaningful change in the community.
• Delicious food, joyful moments, and heartfelt connections.
