About the Project

With generous support from Fiesta Bowl Charities, we are transforming one of our Casa Grande spaces into a modern makerspace. Scheduled for completion by the end of February 2024, this innovative space will empower our Members with:

• Essential employment skills for today’s job market.
• Opportunities to explore cutting-edge technologies.
• Tools to support independent lifestyles through hands-on learning and skill-building.

This makerspace is designed to inspire creativity and foster the exploration of new interests, providing Members with access to the resources they need to thrive.

Our Inspiration

2023, thanks to support from the Fiesta Bowl Charities, we completed a similar project at our Avondale campus. This space has been a huge success, creating opportunities for Members to engage with new technologies and develop important life skills.

Project Recap

On Friday, February 14th, we officially opened the doors to our brand new Casa Grande Makerspace with a Ribbon Cutting Event thanks to our incredible partners at Fiesta Bowl Charities! 🎀✂️

For over 50 years, The Opportunity Tree’s Casa Grande campus has been a place of growth, support, and innovation for adults and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Now, with the addition of this state-of-the-art Makerspace, we’re taking creativity, learning, and opportunity in dynamic and innovative environments to the next level!
