This is the perfect opportunity to engage your corporate team, participate as a small group, or build service into your routine as an individual.

Please note the following for all volunteer experiences:

• All on-site volunteer experiences take place during The Opportunity Tree’s day program hours of operation – Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 3 PM, excluding national holidays
• 4 weeks notice minimum for groups of 10+ volunteers
• 2 weeks notice for groups of 1-9 volunteers
• Brief educational program with CEO/COO overviewing agency history & disability rights history
• Campus Tour
• On-site event photographer

Fireslammers Special Olympics

Experience 1: Fireslammers Training Camp

Spend 4 hours of service with our team at any of our 4 campuses, practicing for the next big tournament!

Experience 2: Fireslammers Annual Summer Awards Banquet

Spend 6 hours of service at our campus prepping the banquet hall, running a facepainting station, judging our dance contest, & handing out awards to our Special Olympics Fireslammers Athletes at the end of the season.

Experience 3: The Road to the Championship – 8 week volunteer experience

Visit our campus once a week to get our Athletes ready for the season! Become a coach, help run weekly practice, and see our team through to the finish line, joining us at the tournament to bring home the Gold! (20+ service hours)

Supported Aging

You are invited to spend time with our Supported Aging Members to support memory & quality of life.

Volunteer opportunities include a scheduled 2-4 hour block of service, joining us for monthly music therapy, attending our cutting-edge adaptive yoga classes, or simply joining us on a quiet day for ‘newspaper and coffee’ to build connections and engage in meaningful discussions.
